Points and Rewards
Oblivion rewards depositors with loyalty points for holding vault shares over time.
How Points Work
Points are time-weighted — the more shares you hold and the longer you hold them, the more points you earn. It's not just about how much you deposit, but how long you stay.
points = shares_held * time_elapsed * points_rate
When Do Points Accrue?
Points are calculated and credited during:
- Deposits: when a new deposit is processed
- Withdrawals: before shares are burned
- DCA executions: on each recurring deposit
- Manual accrual: anyone can trigger
accrue_pointsfor any depositor (it's permissionless)
Cross-Vault Aggregation
Your Depositor account tracks total loyalty points across all vaults. Whether you're in one vault or ten, your points aggregate into a single lifetime total.
Maximizing Points
- Deposit early: points accrue from the moment your deposit is processed
- Hold longer: time is the biggest multiplier
- Stay invested: withdrawing reduces your share count, which reduces future point accrual
- Use DCA: each DCA execution triggers a points accrual, keeping your points up to date
Points for Curators
Curators also earn points based on depositor activity in their vaults. The more deposits and the longer depositors hold, the more curator points accrue. This aligns curator and depositor incentives.
What Are Points For?
The points system is designed to be flexible. Points represent provable on-chain loyalty that can be used for future protocol governance, airdrops, or reward distributions. The exact utility will be announced as the protocol matures.
